Who this is for
This guide is for people who are moved to take action in solidarity with the people of Gaza. If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or alone, we hope this guide can gently guide you to organize your own action pods. We will be sharing tools and tips to make calls to our representatives while staying grounded in compassion.
What we Believe
We are guided by the leadership of people who are directly impacted and people versed in the history of occupied Palestine, including Palestinian and Jewish organizations aligned in values of sovereignty, responsibility, and radical compassion.

How to Make Calls to Representatives
Before Making Your Calls
If in the U.S., you have two senators and one
House representative, as well as state representatives you engage on state-level campaigns, such as Not On Our Dime.
Keep calls short: staffers are keeping a tally,* not writing down our extensive comments.
When you do calls together in your action pod, mute yourself but stay on video if you can to keep each other company.
You can use the Five Calls app, but the app does not provide multiple numbers for each rep
-better yet, input all the phone numbers into your contacts!
Let them know that you will be taking the actions of your senator/rep into serious consideration in the next election cycle. If you are comfortable, you can tell them you're an independent voter or undecided.
You might be asked for your street address y phone number, or email. This is to confirm you live in district. If you don't feel comfortable, you can share your street and zip code. Some offices may ask for your email and phone number. This could be to help the office determine how much of the call volume consists of repeat callers. Share only if you're comfortable.
Call as often as you possibly can with your action pod. You can create a schedule and assign a few action pod members to open the Zoom on different days.
Call Script 1
My name is [YOUR FIRST & LAST NAME], and I'm a constituent of [REPRESENTATIVE'S NAME]. I'm calling to urge the representative to sign onto the Ceasefire Now Resolution (H.R. 786) and pressure Israel to allow all humanitarian aid into Gaza. I also urge Rep. XXX to vote against any future military and economic aid packages to israel, which supports the genocide by Israel of Palestinian people in Gaza. Two thirds of American voters want a ceasefire, according to the Data for Progress, and among Democratic voters that number is 80%. If President Biden and Rep. XXX cannot support a ceasefire, I will consider withholding my vote from them in the next election cycle.
Secondly, I also want to call on you as a staffer. You have a voice in this moment, and you can refuse to be complicit in this genocide.
That includes organizing with other
congressional staffers, such as the recent walkout of over 100 staffers for a ceasefire. Will you take action to stop the killing? (pause for response)
